Picture it, London 2021 (if you get the reference, pimms on us) Emily is getting ready to travel to Devon for the weekend to look after the pets while her parents rave in Bristol at a Martin Kemp ultimate 80s night, that inevitably gets cancelled due to covid. Thinking sod it the βtickets are booked, Iβll go down anywayβ, it leads to a 4-hour boring train ride and opening Bumble to see any new matches. Well low and behold, travelling past Torbay on the train to Plymouth leads to a profile of a man named βStuartβ - some of the photos are kinda old but he looks interesting and even more soβ¦ he likes Joji. Knowing that barely anyone listens to this guy's music, Emily decides to match with Stuart and acknowledge the mutual interest but as she lives in London informs him itβs not going to happen.
20 minutes later a message appears... βMy name isnβt Stuart! Itβs Jordan!β. StuartJordan is in Bristol for the weekend but wants to take Emily out on a date tomorrow. Emily says βno sorry I have no timeβ, and thus begins 6 weeks of constant texting, video calls and a promise for a date in London when StuartJordan is βvisiting some friends as I plan on moving upβ.
The date finally arrives and just Jordan, not Stuart, gets off the train in Cheam and is greeted at the station by Emily, who he immediately kisses and Emily thinks WTF bold move. Well that bold move turns into a 10 day stay in London, filled with drinks, adventure and laughter that ultimately leads into a nervous βdo you want to be my girlfriendβ from Jordan as he is about to board the train back to Devon. From then on it was back and forth journeys to Devon and London, Emily not extending the lease on her flat, moving to Devon temporarily, one trip to Manchester for Jordanβs marathon which decides their future of moving to Salford.
6 months in and they are as happy as can be in their two bedroom flat, the inner crazy cat lady in Emily veers its head and Jordan agrees itβs time they became cat parents. Enter Rufus, a 10 week old ginger kitten that has a lot to say about everything, but Emily and Jordan always have more to say about him to literally anybody that will listen (this is still the case even though Rufus is now 3 years old). Well one cat just wasnβt enough, especially not for how playful and vocal Rufus was, so they decided on a very ditzy but loving black fluffy cat who they named Alma.
Years went by in a flash, hard times came and went but they stayed as happy, secure and silly as when they first met. Jordan decided it was the time, now that they had bought their first home together in Manchester that he would propose on March 7th 2025. Emily said absolutely and then they decided to plan a wedding that was a reflection of themselves, and include those they love and care about the most, so that's where you come in!
We want to celebrate with you because you have contributed to who we are today!

More details to come
Eat, Dance and Drink the night away until late!
You probably have some more questions about the day. Hopefully we've answered them all here. Obviously just let us know if you have any more, but you know how these things work.
This is a colourful summer wedding, and we would love you to dress accordingly. Please leave black, white and greytones at home, and come dressed in your brightest, boldest colours. Think vibrant, expressive outfits with personality (sparkle, feathers, sequins, dramatic shapes, statement accessories) - the more joyful (and a little bit extra) the better! Formal but fun (not black tie), if you are wondering βis this too much?β it probably means itβs perfect!
While we love all the little humans in your and our lives, the venue isnβt the best situation for children. The venue is speakeasy style over two stories with a steep staircase, in the heart of Manchester and we would hate for any accidents big or small (we understand drunk adults are giant babies already but we can put them in a taxi and send them on their way if there are any tantrums).
There is parking around the area, but if you donβt want to remortgage your house, we recommend leaving your car at the hotel and taking the tram or a taxi!
Please let us know on your RSVP - the only reactions we want, are to the love and vibes on the night, not the food!
